Baseball Recap: Hazelwood West Comes Up Short

Hazelwood West fell victim to Webster Groves and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Statesmen. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Statesmen when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hazelwood West has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Webster Groves, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-12.

Coming up, Hazelwood West is taking a road trip to square off against Kirkwood at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Webster Groves, they will challenge Parkway South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Statesmen surely won't give up without a fight.
