Basketball Recap: New Richmond Comes Up Short

New Richmond suffered their closest defeat since January 23, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Holmen Vikings by a score of 63-60. The Tigers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Kaiden Wilber, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 17 points and three steals for Holmen. Jayden Bartels was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 15 points.

New Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Holmen, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

New Richmond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-60 defeat against Eau Claire North on the 4th. As for Holmen, they have also already played their next contest, a 75-73 win against Tomah on the 3rd.
