Volleyball Recap: Science Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Science Hill had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Science Hill was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 23-25, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Science Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isa Dau, who had 24 digs and six aces. That's the most aces Dau has posted over her last ten games. Another player making a difference was Emily Lyon, who had 18 digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good server: Science Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 18 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Elizabethton lost, don't look at Morgan Lewis. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs.

Science Hill's record now sits at 7-3. As for Elizabethton, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

Coming up, Science Hill will head out on the road to face off against Daniel Boone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabethton, they will host Sullivan East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
