Softball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays vs. Elkhorn Antlers        
        
		
             Ashland-Greenwood hadn't done well against Elkhorn recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays skirted past the Elkhorn Antlers  8-7. The  win was nothing new for the Bluejays as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Reese Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted  in  she last seven  matches. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Sofia Dill was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs.  Ellie Stein was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Ashland-Greenwood has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Elkhorn, their defeat was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 13-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashland-Greenwood will square off against Ralston at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Elkhorn, they will venture away from home to  face off against Norfolk  at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
