Football Recap: Silsbee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Silsbee played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of the West Brook Bruins. The Tigers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Although Silsbee took the loss, they still got scores from Rj Williams and Haegyn Morris.

Tammeron Anderson was nothing short of spectacular for West Brook: he threw for 240 yards and four TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 68 yards. The dominant performance also gave Anderson a new career-high in passer rating (127.1). Willie Clark was another key player, rushing for 74 yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Silsbee fell to 3-1. As for West Brook, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silsbee will venture away from home to take on Hitchcock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for West Brook, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lufkin at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
