Basketball Recap: Fort Chiswell Skates Past Giles with Ease

Fort Chiswell won the last time they faced Giles and things went their way on Friday too. The Fort Chiswell Pioneers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Giles Spartans 63-36. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Fort Chiswell's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Giles, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Fort Chiswell will head out to face off against Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Chiswell is facing Grayson County at the right time seeing as Grayson County is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Giles, they will square off against Galax at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
