Basketball Recap: Peyton Burningham and Kailey Selleneit Secure Win for Viewmont

There's no place like home for Viewmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Northridge Knights by a score of 48-39 on Wednesday. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Leading Viewmont to victory were Kailey Selleneit and Peyton Burningham. Selleneit posted 11 points and five steals, while Burningham dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Burningham a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Susan Lamb, who scored eight points.

Viewmont was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 2-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Northridge, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Viewmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northridge, they will face off against Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
