Basketball Game Preview: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder vs. Stanton Mustangs

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder hasn't had much luck against Stanton recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will look to defend their home court against the Stanton Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder beat Fort Calhoun 44-38.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder found their leader in freshman Jayde Kreifels, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. Kreifels is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Neveah Vacha, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-21, which was the final score in Stanton's tilt against Oakland-Craig on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder skirted past Stanton 35-32 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Logan View/Scribner-Snyder repeat their success, or does Stanton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
