Baseball Recap: Handley Comes Up Short

Handley and Trinity Presbyterian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Handley had to settle for second. They lost 14-3 to the Wildcats. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Handley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Powel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Handley's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

While Handley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
