Volleyball Recap: Omak Comes Up Short

Omak and Cashmere squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Omak had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Omak was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Cashmere's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

The loss snapped Omak's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 14-8 record. As for Cashmere, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-1.

Omak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cashmere, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Lynden Christian on the 14th.
