The Hatch Valley Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over Hot Springs. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Hatch Valley with their most commanding win of the season.
Miah Martinez had an outrageously good game as she scored 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Caydence Roberts was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Hatch Valley pushed their record up to 7-13 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hot Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Hatch Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last seven games. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Hot Springs is ranked 130th, while Socorro is ranked 115th).
