Preview: Dothan Wolves vs. Daleville Warhawks
Dothan is 4-0 against Daleville since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dothan Wolves will be playing at home against the Daleville Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
In what's become a running theme this season, Dothan gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 72-36 victory over Prattville at home. Given Dothan's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Prattville is ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Daleville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Opp by a score of 56-49. The victory was just what Daleville needed coming off of a 67-47 loss in their prior contest.
Dothan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Daleville, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Everything went Dothan's way against Daleville when the teams last played back in February of 2018 as Dothan made off with a 70-50 victory. Does Dothan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Daleville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
