Baseball Recap: Brush Gets the Win

Brush's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Bennett Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Beetdiggers have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Krob, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Kline, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Brush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brush now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bennett, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brush will host Eaton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Beetdiggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Reds have averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season. As for Bennett, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Platte Canyon at 4:00 p.m.
