Softball Recap: Pennington Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pennington and Locust Fork squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Pennington had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 20-1. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 17 in a row.

Pennington's loss dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Locust Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Pennington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-12 win against Holly Pond on the 28th. As for Locust Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Hanceville on the 29th.
