Recap: Reedy Lions vs. Wakeland Wolverines
The Reedy Lions waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Wakeland by a score of 62-54. That's another feather in the cap for Reedy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Reedy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Mcgrath, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcgrath has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Langford, who scored 20 points.
Reedy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-17. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Wakeland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.
Reedy will square off against The Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in The Colony's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for Wakeland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newman Smith at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Newman Smith is facing Wakeland at the right time seeing as Wakeland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
