Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Classical Christian Mighty Lions vs. Beaufort Academy Eagles
Holy Trinity Classical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-25 loss at the hands of the Beaufort Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mighty Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-37 on January 10th.
Leading Beaufort Academy to victory were Nycholas Underwood and Devin Fripp. Underwood made all 6 shots he took for 15 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Fripp went 6 for 12 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Underwood is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Keeler Dineen was another key player, putting up six points.
Holy Trinity Classical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Beaufort Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Classical Christian will host Thomas Heyward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaufort Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Andrew Jackson Academy at 7:00 p.m.
