Volleyball Game Preview: Norwalk Lancers vs. Mayfair Monsoons

Norwalk is 2-8 against Mayfair since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lancers will host the Monsoons at 3:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Norwalk is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Warren. The shutout was out of character for the Lancers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

While Norwalk ultimately came up short, they really made Warren work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Mayfair came up short against Warren on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Monsoons have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-18.

Norwalk's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Mayfair, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18-1.

Everything went Norwalk's way against Mayfair in their previous meeting back in September, as Norwalk made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Monsoons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
