It was a good run, but Santa Margarita unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Mater Dei Monarchs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 18th.

Santa Margarita was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-18.

Santa Margarita's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Mater Dei, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Margarita will venture away from home to challenge St. John Bosco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mater Dei, they will head out on the road to square off against Servite at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
