Basketball Recap: Casa Roble Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Casa Roble had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Calaveras Red Hawks as they made off with a 77-52 win. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Casa Roble got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Pearcy out in front who went 10-for-17 on his way to 24 points and six steals. That's the most steals Pearcy has posted since back in December of 2024. Moses Oginni was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Casa Roble was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They posted seven more assists than Calaveras' also-impressive total of 14.

Calaveras' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Pedersen, who went 5-for-7 en route to 14 points, and Ryan Clifton, who put up 13 points. Clifton is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cohen Curran, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points.

Casa Roble's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. As for Calaveras, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9.

Looking ahead, Casa Roble will face off against Ripon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Casa Roble's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games. Calaveras does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
