Recap: Corning Cardinals vs. Enterprise Hornets
The Corning Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. Their tough 57-37 defeat to Enterprise might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Corning has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Corning lost, one person who can't be blamed is Javier Cayetano. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaidan Raker, who scored eight points.
Enterprise's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ja'Kye Rawls, who scored 20 points. The matchup was Rawls' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Wes Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Corning now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Enterprise, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mt. Shasta the next time they take the court. Corning will head out to face Mt. Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Enterprise will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
