Softball Recap: Mclean Falls Short Against Ranked Langley

McLean faced Langley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Highlanders were not able to get on the board.

McLean's defeat dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Langley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. McLean is set to face off against their familiar foe Wakefield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Langley will square off against rival Washington-Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Saxons' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Generals have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
