Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Has No Trouble Against Blanchester

Wilmington's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blanchester Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricane, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anna Niemesh went supernova, getting seven aces and three digs.

Niemesh wasn't the only good server: Wilmington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Wilmington's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3. As for Blanchester, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Wilmington will be playing at home against Clinton-Massie at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blanchester, they will head out to face off against Clermont Northeastern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
