Volleyball Game Preview: Holland Dutch vs. Fruitport Trojans

The Holland Dutch will challenge the Fruitport Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fruitport took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Holland, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, Holland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Reeths-Puffer.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Holland who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 20-18.

Isaiah Cisneros and Christian Ramirez were among the main playmakers for Holland as the former had eight digs and the latter had six digs and three aces.

Holland couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 53.3% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was in their last 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Fruitport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Okemos.

Holland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-19-1 record this season. As for Fruitport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Holland came out on top in a nail-biter against Fruitport in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Dutch repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
