Soccer Game Preview: Manteno vs. Streator

The Manteno Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Streator Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Manteno has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Manteno challenged Lisle on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 6-0 to the Lions. The defeat continues a trend for Manteno in their meetings with Lisle: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Streator was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coal City. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Streator couldn't quite close it out.

Streator now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Manteno, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-2.
