Softball Recap: Elverado Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Elverado had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They never let the Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Maggie Elson, who gave up just two hits to keep Galatia/Thompsonville off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mylee Misner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Mylee Roberts was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Elverado's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Elverado didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Crab Orchard on the 23rd. Galatia/Thompsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
