After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Miyamura, Albuquerque Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-13 victory over the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes. Melissa Purcella made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
