Softball Recap: Harlandale Indians vs. Southside Cardinals
Harlandale lost against Southside back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 8-7.
Julia Casarez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alanah DeLeon, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Harlandale now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Southside, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-10 record.
Looking ahead, Harlandale will be playing in front of their home fans against South San Antonio at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southside, they are taking a road trip to challenge Winn at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
