Recap: CORE Butte Lynx vs. Williams Yellowjackets
The CORE Butte Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williams. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for CORE Butte in their matchups with Williams: they've now lost eight in a row.
Williams was led to victory by Diego Ambriz and Kyden Bowen. Ambriz scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Bowen scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Hernandez, who scored three points along with two steals.
CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Williams, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-12.
CORE Butte will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Biggs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Biggs will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
