Basketball Recap: Mira Mesa Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Mira Mesa extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Bishop. They snuck past the Bishop's Knights with a 65-61 win. Winning may never get old, but the Marauders sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Diego Ortiz was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-17 to rack up 23 points and four steals. The game was his sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Cole Soriano was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Mira Mesa's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5. As for Bishop's, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-46 loss against Olympian on the 1st. Bishop's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
