Recap: Harding Raiders vs. Boardman Spartans
The Harding Raiders won the last time they faced the Boardman Spartans, and things went their way on Friday too. Harding secured a 47-41 W over Boardman. Given Harding's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Boardman is ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ny Coleman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Sampson, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Boardman had strong showings from Nico Holzschuh, who scored ten points, and Grayson Eicher, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Harding has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Boardman, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Harding will head out on the road to challenge Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. As for Boardman, they will be playing at home against Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
