Basketball Game Preview: South Park Eagles vs. Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the South Park Eagles duke it out with the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday... Keystone Oaks took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on South Park, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, South Park strolled past Steel Valley with points to spare, taking the game 41-23. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Ironmen are ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Keystone Oaks' undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Tuesday. They fell to McGuffey 69-65. The loss put an end to the Golden Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

South Park's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Keystone Oaks, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

South Park didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Keystone Oaks in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
