Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Pine Forest

The Clinton Dark Horses will venture away from home to take on the Pine Forest Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Wednesday, Clinton made easy work of Pender and carried off a 6-2 win. Considering Clinton have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Pine Forest's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hoke County on Wednesday. Pine Forest have struggled against Hoke County recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-2. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Clinton took their win against Pine Forest when the teams last played back in August by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dark Horses since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
