Paloma Valley had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Sultana Sultans by a score of 3-1. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sultans, too.

Among those leading the charge was Malia Jones, who had eight digs and four assists.

Paloma Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Sultana lost, don't look at Brooklyn Kelly. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and seven aces. Kelly is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Paloma Valley's record is now 16-2. As for Sultana, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

Paloma Valley and Sultana should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 65th) will meet Tahquitz (ranked 637th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sultana will take on Serrano at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (69 vs. 269).
