Basketball Recap: Marissa/Coulterville Takes a Loss

Marissa/Coulterville lost against Christ Our Rock Lutheran back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Marissa/Coulterville Meteors took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions.

When it comes to explaining why Marissa/Coulterville lost, don't look at Ryne Rhodes. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Rhodes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Steinwagner, who had eight points.

Marissa/Coulterville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-13.

As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-48 win against Maryville Christian on the 4th.
