Basketball Game Preview: Robinson Bulldogs vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings

The Robinson Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Central Cabarrus Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Central Cabarrus likes a good challenge.

Robinson proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-66 win over Northwest Cabarrus. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Da'Montre Harlee went supernova for Robinson, going 6 for 12 on his way to 20 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave Harlee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Roger Walton, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus entered their tilt with West Rowan on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Falcons 72-55.

Central Cabarrus' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.

Robinson beat Central Cabarrus 79-70 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robinson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
