Basketball Recap: Fouke Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bismarck last Thursday, Fouke came back down to earth. The Fouke Panthers lost to the Genoa Central Dragons on the road by a 51-37 margin on Friday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 43-36.

Fouke's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 17-8. As for Genoa Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fouke will take on Smackover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genoa Central, they will challenge Centerpoint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
