West Valley is 9-1 against Rogers since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will face off against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. West Valley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While West Valley's victory against Clarkston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Bantams 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 22nd.

Meanwhile, Rogers hadn't done well against Deer Park recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pirates skirted past the Stags 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Logenn Storer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Jackson Ables was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Rogers, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.

West Valley took their win against Rogers in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-13 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
