Soccer Game Preview: Plano vs. McKinney Boyd

Plano hasn't had much luck against McKinney Boyd recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Plano Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the McKinney Boyd Broncos at 7:30 p.m. Plano's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Prosper who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. Prosper got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to Plano's one.

If Plano heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when McKinney Boyd took over last week. Everything went McKinney Boyd's way against Rock Hill on Tuesday as McKinney Boyd made off with a 4-1 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Broncos considering their one-goal performance the game before.

McKinney Boyd is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five contests. As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

Plano came up short against McKinney Boyd in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, falling 2-0. Can Plano avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
