Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northbridge Rams. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Rams when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dakota Vaudreuil spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 12 hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Julia Urato was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Coburn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northbridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlett will challenge North at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northbridge, they will head out to face off against Prouty at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
