Basketball Recap: James Lick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

James Lick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Piedmont Hills Pirates at home by a 53-35 margin. The Comets lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-13 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piedmont Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Le, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points. Arnav Shailesh was another key player, putting up two points and seven steals.

James Lick's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Piedmont Hills, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. James Lick will head out to challenge Pioneer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Piedmont Hills, they will venture away from home to square off against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
