Softball Preview: Schley County Wildcats vs. Taylor County Vikings

Schley County has gone 9-1 against Taylor County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Schley County Wildcats will play host again on Thursday to welcome the Taylor County Vikings, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Schley County beat Hawkinsville 7-4.

Meanwhile, Taylor County entered their tilt with Lamar County on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Vikings have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Molleigh Gassett made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with three RBI.
