Basketball Recap: Medical Lake Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Adasha Gardner and Jocee Bryant

Medical Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Lakeside Eagles, falling 68-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-29 two weeks ago.

Jocee Bryant and Adasha Gardner certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Bryant dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Gardner went 6-for-14 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. Bryant has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last seven times she's played.

Even though they lost, Medical Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Medical Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lakeside, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Medical Lake has already played their next game, a 59-38 victory against Riverside on the 18th. As for Lakeside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-34 win against Colville on the 18th.
