Baseball Recap: Hansberry Takes a Loss

Hansberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bengals have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Hansberry got a massive performance out of Marquis Walls, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Walls has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Derrick Campbell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Hansberry's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Hansberry has already played their next contest (against Phoenix Military), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-2 win against Longwood on the 14th.
