Seaside extended the longest winning streak in Monterey Bay - Pacific this week by beating Pajaro Valley, 48-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Spartans.

Monte Vista Christian moved up to 338 from 368 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs were able to make the jump by beating North Salinas 55-14.

Seaside's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Turner threw for 282 and four touchdowns and Chris Evans had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Kenny Parker chipped in 44 yards. Joseph Jakubowsky helped Seaside's passing attack out by catching two balls for 90 yards.

Alfred Avila's team's Turner and Ronald Turner have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Turner has thrown for 1103 yards this season, while Turner, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 12 catches for 286 yards. Monte Vista Christian's Hugo Renteria leads the league in rushing yards with 415.

The top two teams in Monterey Bay - Pacific will face off this week when first place Seaside takes on second place Monte Vista Christian. The Spartans topped the Grizzlies last week, while the Mustangs beat the Vikings.
