Basketball Game Preview: Steward Spartans vs. North Cross Raiders

Having just played yesterday, the Steward Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the North Cross Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully North Cross likes a good challenge.

Steward is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-55 win over Atlantic Shores Christian. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, North Cross ended up a good deal behind Miller School of Albemarle on Friday and lost 75-56. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, North Cross saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jesiah Hines to rack up 22 points. Another player making a difference was Antonio Mack, who posted 15 points.

North Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Steward, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.
