Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the G-Men of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Georgetown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-23, 25-19.

Lynchburg-Clay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Shope out in front who had ten digs.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lynchburg-Clay, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Georgetown has already played their next contest (against Manchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against West Union on the 7th.
