Softball Recap: Mount Everett Regional Comes Up Short

If Mount Everett Regional was riding high fresh off their 24-10 takedown of Chicopee Comp last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 19-2 to the Hoosac Valley Hurricanes on Tuesday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Mount Everett Regional saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Hewins, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit marked the first that Hewins got this season.

Mount Everett Regional now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hoosac Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Everett Regional will face off against McCann Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hoosac Valley, they will take on Drury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
