Football Game Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Hubbard Jaguars

Bremond has gone a perfect 6-0 against Hubbard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bremond has eight straight victories, Hubbard has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bremond's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Chilton's usually-dominant defense. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 48-22 margin over the Pirates. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tank Scott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 160 yards and two scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 83 yards. Tyriq Scott was in the mix too, providing Bremond with three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bremond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 227 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Hubbard took a blow against Frost on Friday, falling 63-13.

Hubbard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bremond, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Bremond against Hubbard in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 68-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
