Steven Aguayo was the best pitcher in West Sierra this week, leading
Firebaugh. He picked up one win and nine strikeouts.
Firebaugh used a 1-0 record over the past week to move from 907 to 872 in the California state rankings.
Firebaugh's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 18 hits and five walks, both of which led the league. The Eagles' pitchers have been charged with only 133 hits and have struck out 184 batters. Aguayo is tops on the staff with 65 Ks.
Danny Perez had a multi-hit game on Thursday, when he went 4-5 in Firebaugh's 11-0 win against Woodlake. He also drove in two runners.
