Football Recap: Warsaw Starts off Right with Win over Lawson

Warsaw gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over the Lawson Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Josh Harvath was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 194 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. Those 194 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warsaw will challenge Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lawson, they will take on Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
